Detailed description of Canyon Springs Golf Course

Canyon Springs Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Canyon Springs Golf Course first opened for play in 1974. The original nine was designed by Max Mueller. The second nine by Bob Baldock.

This is a very scenic course with an abundance of wildlife. Located in the Snake River Canyon the micro-climate of the canyon allows the course to be open year around with only a few weather-dependent days in the winter months.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,782 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,207 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 546 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 458 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Canyon Springs Golf Course is # 11, a 167 yard par-3.

I played this as a guest of my son. Playing in the Snake River canyon added a special ambiance. Course can be easily walked. Course was well cared for, layout was OK but not memorable. Even though I didn't pay I remember the fees were very reasonable.

Would travel: 30-60 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area

My ranking is biased because I am an owner. Additional info: The back tees are now 6,770 yards. The original nine was designed by Max Mueller. The second nine by Bob Baldock. Come on down, you'll enjoy it.

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

Canyon Springs is set in the amazingly beautiful Snake River Canyon. I don't think there is a more scenic course in the area. The holes are challenging, but not overly so (provided you play the proper tees). The staff is very friendly and helpful.
